Gisèle Sapiro
, Director of Studies at EHESS, CNRS silver medalist (2021), is a sociologist. Her research is organized around 5 main themes: the sociology of literature, the links between law and literature, the sociology of translation, the sociology of intellectuals, and the epistemology and social history of the social sciences. She edited the Dictionnaire International Bourdieu (CNRS Editions, 2020). Among her works related to the research perspectives of the "Histoire(s) et vies des littératures" group are the volumes Translatio. Le marché de la traduction en France à l'heure de la mondialisation (CNRS Editions, 2008), Les Contradictions de la globalisation éditoriale (Nouveau Monde éditions, 2009).
Gisèle Sapiro will present her work, Qu'est-ce qu'un auteur mondial? Le champ littéraire transnational (EHESS/Gallimard/Seuil, 2024).
