Apr. 4

The University Libraries hold some remarkable and precious documents in their collections.

Such as a good-sized leather-bound volume in the Health Libraries' Heritage Reserve, decorated with a reproduction of Rembrandt's Anatomy Lesson by Doctor Tulp. Inside, twenty-two sheets of handwritten parchment... Letters Patent signed by King Louis XV on June 5, 1769: the Statuts and Regulations for the College of Masters in Surgery of the City, Suburbs, District and Territory of Marseille.
