BU Saint-Charles: closure for works

Jan. 5

Starting in January, work will be carried out at the Saint-Charles University Library to install a new false ceiling. This major project will improve the thermal and acoustic comfort of the library. This work is part of a schedule that allows all the necessary conditions for its successful completion to be met, after having been postponed several times for administrative and technical reasons following the collapse and removal of the previous false ceiling in 2016.

Provisional closure dates for the work: from 5 January to early May 2026.

During this period, the library will offer several solutions to ensure continuity of service:

  • A click and collect service will be available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the ground floor of the library, entrance via the Esplanade Pouillon. Users will be able to borrow documents, as well as IT and audiovisual equipments
  • Room 3-002 is available to students through the Faculty of Science, with a capacity of 19 seats. It is located next to the reprographics room, behind the cafeteria, and is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for self-service access.
  • A printer (black and white and colour) and binding equipment are available next to the click and collect desk and accessible during the same opening hours.
