30PMore than just lists of words and definitions, dictionaries are objects rooted in their time, reflecting, in a more or less distorted way, ideologies and social debates. In this talk, we'll be leafing through some of the great French-language dictionaries, from the 17th century to the present day, to see what they tell us about our societies.
