Services for disabled users

Photocopy cards and document borrowing

On request, some university libraries provide disabled users with a photocopy card for use on the libraries copiers. This card can be obtained from your library circulation desk.

These users also benefit from loan conditions adapted to their needs (number of loans, extension) in all libraries.

Disability exception to copyright applied to libraries (PLATON)

Aix-Marseille University libraries are participating in the PLATON system, which implements the handicap exception to copyright applied to public libraries.

Although academic resources are still relatively under-represented on the platform, this exception enables its beneficiaries (students and staff of Aix-Marseille University) to ask their libraries for access to works in versions adapted to their disability(ies) when these have been deposited on the PLATON platform, managed by the Bibliothèque nationale de France.

To find out more and/or benefit from this scheme, please contact your nearest library or write directly to scd-handicap@univ-amu.fr.
